Even the Free Version is Great!

The free version of this app has been very helpful to me as I learn the basics of bridge, and Im sure I will be getting a paid subscription once the free games run out.

GREAT APP

Great app--you can try it with 16 hands; if you dont like the game dont get it. If you want to play with "bots" this is the best! You can also buy different parts of the app!

iBridge Plus

I just started playing bridge with a group of friends, and this has been a wonderful learning tool. Reading, playing with real people and this app all work together to help me learn

Sadly, the best there is.

I havent played bridge in 40 years while in college and I wasnt that good then. But about 50% of the times Ive compared my performance on rubber games to the automatic play, I do better. The bidding also seems a bit weird at times as well. And Im not a fan of the busy interface. That said, it appears to be the only serviceable app for bridge in the iTunes Store. Also, the developer is quite responsive and that counts for something.

I Bridge

This Bridge Ap would seem to be excellent for any player, novice or more experienced. It has multiple play options and a diversity of formats. As a novice, I love the hints and explanations and believe they are slowly making me a better bridge player. I recommend IBridge to anyone with an interest in playing bridge on a mobile device and improving their skills.

Worse than nothing at all

Let me amplify: if you want to become a decent bridge player, avoid this app. You will end up in bad habits. You will end up avoiding good no trump contracts because this app makes you believe that weird defensive distributions are inevitable. You will become conservative in your bidding because you cant rely on your partner to bid according to the system you have selected, but you can depend on the defenders to play as if the hand was double dummy. And if you foolishly purchase their "assist" and even more foolishly follow the advice it gives, you will learn to bid incorrectly. Finally, you will learn to dread the game of bridge, rather than enjoying it. Original review (2 stars): Look, I play the game. I get it, sometimes the distribution is screwy. But the number of 7, 8, or even 9 card suits you see in these hands (both yours and opponents) just have no basis in statistical reality. The "percentage" play is almost always the losing play; meanwhile, the opponents play the hand as if it were double dummy, eschewing the percentage play for the one that ends up working. I do not find this to be a useful tool to practice real, randomly dealt bridge hands (whether rubber or duplicate).

Top class game

Very good program. Enjoy it a lot and play daily. No complaints.

Great Game

I Love IBridge ...it has improved my game so much. I have been playing this app for quite a while and enjoyed the old version and now the new version. My bidding in a regular game is different then IBridge but It seems to work out. This game has given me many hours of pleasure. Who could ask for anything more! When traveling, I download several games and then play them while on the plane or in car... Great game!

I bridge plus

Very good. Plays multiple systems and explains artificial bids and gives hint as to recommended bids. Can adjust .speed. I play faster speed. Defense is a little weak at this speed. Tends to overbid slams and minor suit games. All in all works well as a quick tune-up. 4/5 stars.

Ibridgeplus

Excellent way to practice playing out a hand.

Buy this app!

It has vastly improved all phases of my intermediate level game and is incredibly fun, challenging, inexpensive and easy to use!

iBridge V5.4

The newest version is great! "Community Hands" is a great way to test your play against others, (as is duplicate, of course) and the possibility of replaying a hand over and over is a terrific teaching tool. Customer service for this app is excellent. For novices and experienced players alike, you cant go wrong here!

Improve your game

I have been using this app for several years. I love the way you can modify your bidding system. This is the best game available without going to the bridge studio. When I had a password error, they contacted me via email recently, and even phoned me to assist. A real person the first time around, solved my problem. Great app!

My thoughts

I enjoy this game, the best Bridge game Ive come across to date. Its myriad of settings are a bit dense, but give one control over nearly everything one could want. It offers something for everyone, with duplicate hands and playing assistance for private play. I don’t always take its advice, but usually do worse when I don’t. Customer support is responsive and the interface has greatly improved since I started using the app. Highly recommended.

Excellent bridge app

Highly customizable bidding interface, excellent partner logic for both bidding and play.

Horrible. My partner is a complete idiot

Wow what did they use to configure partner. There is no sense to his bids. Then when I try to adjust, he goes real stupid. The worse part is that a pop up appears and tells me that my bid is not wise. What the heck. I have 8 spades and he will try to out bid me with 3 clubs as his suit. Today I had bid 5 NT, He tops my bid with 6 clubs and he only has 3. Terrible game

Best of ones I tried

I really like the choices & the ease of following. I do disagree with their suggestions & often make my way work.

Good for me right now

Im just learning bridge...about 4 months...and this is good for helping learn to keep count of cards. I also like that I can get hints and explanations for bidding. Some of the bid recon dont match what Im being taught, but I havent tried to make any setting adjustments. I especially like that I can replay with different contracts and card play.

Fun and helpful!

The app is quite entertaining and helpful on bidding conventions. A little costly at first, but you can win your investment back in tournaments.

Great practice!

A refresher when you cant play often.
